The Delta Combined (District and County) Court is located in the Delta County Courthouse at 5th and Palmer Streets in Delta, Colorado. Eighteen employees including a district judge, county judge, magistrate, clerk of court, deputy clerks, and probation officers are assigned to the County and District Courts and probation in the Delta County Courthouse or probation offices at 550 Columbine Suite 2. Other 7th Judicial District staff have offices in other location but travel to Delta to provide Collection Services, Family Court Services and pro se litigant non legal assistance. All the court and probation employees work for the State of Colorado – Judicial Branch of Government. Delta County government offices are also located in the Delta County Courthouse.
When one is traveling south on Main Street (toward Montrose, Colorado) a right turn at Fifth Street and a distance of one block will bring you to the intersection of Fifth and Palmer Streets. The Courthouse is located on the Southwest corner of this intersection. If you travel one more block to Dodge Street and make a left turn onto Dodge Street, a parking lot will be on your right.
When one is traveling north on Main Street (toward Grand Junction, Colorado) a left turn at Fifth Street and a distance of one block will bring you to the intersection of Fifth and Palmer Streets. The Courthouse is located on the Southwest corner of this intersection. If you travel one more block to Dodge Street and make a left turn onto Dodge Street, a parking lot will be on your right.
Once in the Courthouse, the Court Clerk’s Office is located on the building’s top floor, Room 338. The Clerk of Court’s Office is open from 8:00 a.m. to4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

District courts hear civil cases in any amount, as well as domestic relations, criminal, juvenile, probate, and mental health cases. District court decisions may be appealed to the Colorado Court of Appeals (in some cases directly to the Colorado Supreme Court).
