The Court Executive is appointed by the Chief Judge and is delegated the authority to perform the administrative duties in the operation of the district. The office of the Court Executive is responsible for the overall management of personnel, budget, and of the operations of the six Combined Courts (District and County), the Montrose Associate County Court at Nucla and the Water Court, Division 4. The Court Executive’s office acts as the principle liaison between the Seventh Judicial District Probation Department and the Trial courts and between the Colorado Supreme Court, State Court Administrator’s Office and all locations and functions within the Seventh Judicial District. Additionally, the Office of the Court Executive is directly responsible for the operations of the Collections Investigator Program, the Jury Information System and Jury Commissioner, the District Account Clerk Program, the Spanish Language Interpreter Program and other special programs of a district-wide nature. The daily management of court operations in the eight court locations of the Seventh Judicial District is delegated to the Clerk of Court in each location.
