The employees of this Judicial District and all others in Colorado are prohibited from giving legal advice. This can be very frustrating to those who are seeking answers to their legal problems. However, as the court is the agency set up to resolve these disputes in a fair and impartial manner, you can understand that we cannot provide either party with any legal information that may effect the way their case is decided.
The clerk’s offices have many written brochures that provide information on court activities. They can provide these to parties on request. The clerks can assist in some procedural matters and give information on filing or other fees that may be required. We can give information on the Courts in general for educational purposes to anyone who may inquire. It is our goal to provide the greatest amount of information possible and assure that our neutrality is maintained in every matter.
